Hand practice, unfinished Inktober and unfinished pointillism—oh my!

This was my first time illustrating a full background and a person with Prismacolor markers. I was proud of the result and still am. I tried new techniques and pushed myself—there are mistakes, but that’s part of growing. :)

This year I sorted through my sketches, unfinished ideas, and finished drawings to share the good, the bad, and the ugly. Looking back has refreshed me and given my mind a break. It reminded me to stop being so hard on myself — even failed ideas show I tried, and that matters. Here are a few from over the years.
